Chris Maxwell​ – Finance Director

Chris is a finance and operations professional passionate about empowering people and organizations to fulfill their missions. As Finance Director at Bicycle, Chris provides forward-looking financial guidance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Chris brings more than a decade of nonprofit leadership experience to her role at Bicycle, including her time as Finance Director at GOOD Institute and as Director of Finance and Operations at the California Housing Partnership, where she oversaw finance and accounting, human resources, contract and risk management, technology, and served as a strategic partner to the CEO. Additionally, Chris has worked in media, renewable energy, and healthcare.

Chris holds a BA in Journalism from Boston University and an MBA and MPA from the University of Washington. Chris lives with her family in the East Bay. In the small time remaining after chasing around her young kids, she enjoys hiking, making ceramics, and reading.
